Wig Funding from The Primrose Foundation
As a local breast care charity, we aim to do all we can to assist those living locally going through treatment for Breast Cancer. We do this in a multitude of different ways to offer a little comfort at a difficult time. Our latest project is just one of the many ways we provide that extra bit of support.
The Primrose Foundation is thrilled to announce that thanks to the ongoing support and donations from local businesses and individuals we now offer all Primrose patients who lose their hair due to breast cancer treatment, a £100 voucher towards a wig from ‘Roots To Rise’.
‘Roots To Rise’, is a new not-for-profit organisation that offers a variety of wigs for any form of hair loss.
This collaboration came together after it was highlighted just how difficult this side effect of breast cancer treatment can be for so many. Hair loss is incredibly upsetting, and some cannot afford the luxury of a correctly-fitted wig, but the foundation, along with the support of ‘Roots To Rise’ wanted to make this part of the pathway as comforting as possible.
‘Roots to Rise’ understand that losing your hair is a challenging time for anyone, they also offer a completely free hair removal service to anyone who is due to lose their hair because of their breast cancer treatment. You will be offered a FREE appointment at a time that suits you in a quiet space in the salon where you can bring your family and friends, should you wish.

‘Roots To Rise’ is based within Spoilt Boutique, 54 Vauxhall Street, The Barbican, Plymouth, PL4 0EL. Telephone: (01752) 263699. They are open Tuesday – Saturday with flexible appointments 9am – 8pm Tuesday – Friday, and 9am – 4.30pm on Saturdays.
A member of the team will aim to contact each person within 24 hours of receiving the referral. An appointment can then be made for a completely FREE one-hour wig consultation in their quiet room with a member of their experienced & friendly team.
