The Breast Cancer Care Collective
Thanks to grant funding from the Plymouth Octopus Project, we will shortly embark on a new project called The Breast Cancer Care Collective which will initially bring together three of the city’s cancer care organisations, The Primrose Foundation, Roots to Rise CIC (Community Interest Company) and Dance for Life Devon CIC (Community Interest Company) to support those affected by breast cancer at any stage of diagnosis, treatment to remission.
Breast cancer patients can often feel isolated and worried, unsure of what services are available throughout their treatment therefore we hope to alleviate this by working together to create a FREE online support directory which will signpost patients to local free or heavily subsidized services which they may find useful.
We want to grow The Breast Cancer Care Collective so that we can offer a wide range of support to those living locally who have to embark on a breast cancer journey. We would like to invite any organization that shares the same passion as us to join the collective.
To be included in the Directory our one request is that you provide a FREE or heavily subsidized support service to those affected by breast cancer – we understand that support can be offered in a variety of different ways therefore we welcome all enquiries.
There is no charge to join the collective as the purpose of working together is to offer additional support to those that need it most. To find out more or to join the collective please email info@primrosefoudation.org
The hope is to have the initial collective directory set up by March 2024 and for this to grow throughout the year.
If you are a patient who has recently gone through treatment and accessed a service that you feel would benefit future patients, please get in touch with us at the above email address.
We look forward to helping to build a better future together.
Best wishes
