Thank You to Our Supporters for Another Successful Year

It is time once again to wave goodbye to another year. For some 2023 was the year that cancer walked into their lives and turned it inside out, never to be the same again.

We are sure that 2023 has been a year to remember. Perhaps you have made both happy and sad memories over the last twelve months, no doubt you have laughed, loved, and cried in equal measure. We hope that The Primrose Foundation was able to provide you, other patients and family members comfort and compassion at a difficult time.

Whether that support was from one of our many blogs or by providing you with a wig voucher, we are very proud of all our Primrose Projects, and we are especially proud when we can offer help or support to those going through breast cancer treatment thanks to our local community of fundraisers and donors.

Every month we are blown away by the support and commitment we receive from our local communities. It is thanks to incredibly special people who go above and beyond to raise essential funds for us that we were able to exceed our fundraising target of £100,00 once again, you guys really are the key to a successful 2023.

How donations have been received in 2023.

This year we were able to attend more community events and meet many of our fabulous fundraisers, something we feel very passionate about. It was humbling listening to so many stories from our supporters on what inspired them to help aid our charity, many were Primrose patients or a loved one of someone affected by breast cancer. Thanks to your kindness we were able to fund some fantastic projects.

It has been an absolute privilege to support the breast care services at University Hospitals Plymouth and the many families affected by breast cancer for over 28 years now and we hope to continue that support for years to come.

As always, we pride ourselves on our communication and believe it is important that you know just where donations received go and what they help to fund.Therefore, here is a breakdown of all the wonderful things we have achieved this year thanks to your support.

This year we went a bit pinker and a little bit more fabulous, we hope you will agree. We launched our new screening awareness bus which drives home the message of the importance of attending your mammogram. We also helped to fund a bright and eye-catching pink primrose planter which also proudly displays the motto Breast Screening Saves Lives, always attend your FREE screening, plus a huge selection of other grant funding which all help to aid our local breast services in some way.

We launched our Big Bra Drop campaign which has been extremely well received with donations of new and nearly new bras being dropped regularly into various donation station boxes scattered around our screening areas. Who knew so many of us had hidden treasures in their top drawers?

As this year draws a close for us all it is time to look to the future and begin planning how we can be even more marvellous and continue to grow and flourish.

We will be launching our new Love Yourself Enough To Be Breast Aware campaign for 2024 and would love everyone's help in spreading the importance of being breast-aware.

We will also be hosting various fun fundraising events throughout the year, including a Did You Know Fashion Show which will address how best to dress your breasts or chest.

We will continue with our active social media presence by providing help, care, support and guidance weekly. We will also keep our essential communication going by keeping everyone up to date on our activities as well as attending as many face-to-face community events as possible.

We will also continue to support your local breast services in whatever way we can and encourage everyone who has any service improvement suggestions to fire them our way. Are we missing anything?
