New Oncology Support Nurse Joins The Primrose Breast Care Centre

Kara is our new Oncology Support Nurse at The Primrose Breast Care Centre.

This is a new role within the service, ensuring the needs of our patients and their families continue to be met.

Kara works alongside the specialist nurses by providing all-around care to patients within the oncology service.  She will ensure patients have the information they need to make informed choices about treatment, supporting their and their family’s mental health, and signposting them to the right place for ongoing support. 

Before joining the team at Primrose, Kara also worked in various roles at University Hospitals for over 11 years. She previously worked across various wards and like Katie, worked in the Chemotherapy day-case Unit and the Oncology outpatient department and now they both work together again in Primrose.

Away from work, Kara enjoys spending time with her husband and three boys, reading, or walking with friends.   She is humbled to be in a position to help patients and their families through such an emotional and overwhelming time.
