New Trustee Joins Our Team

In January 2024 The Primrose Foundation was thrilled to welcome three new Trustees to the team. Kayleigh Davenport, Screening Breast Care Nurse from The Primrose Breast Care Centre at University Hospitals Plymouth tells us more about her new role and what she is looking forward to the most.

Hello, I’m Kayleigh and I am excited to be part of The Primrose Foundation. I wanted to join the charity as I enjoy supporting and planning projects which help to improve patient care. I am also passionate about helping to raise essential funds for our local breast service and look forward to getting involved in some fundraising activities as well as assisting with raising breast awareness and health promotion.

As a Trustee I will assist with supporting financial decisions as well as looking at new fundraising ideas for the charity to explore.

A little bit about me is that I have been a registered nurse since 2015, I have always worked within Woman’s Health and joined the breast care team in June 2023. I have a keen interest in health promotion, event planning and raising breast health awareness. I am looking forward to helping ensure those with breast health issues feel they have a voice and are not alone.

As I work within the Primrose Centre, I see the positive impact The Primrose Foundation has on improving patient experiences due to the kind generosity of members of the public and local businesses who support the charity.

I am married to Ross, have 2 sons and a British bulldog called Betty. I have always lived in Plymouth and enjoy family holidays and city breaks when possible.

I love walking anywhere with a beautiful view, visiting local beaches and going to the Gym regularly. I also like to see family and friends and dining out at the weekends.

I'd like to thank The Primrose Foundation for this opportunity to be part of a wonderful cause and for being so welcoming, I am looking forward to the year ahead.
