Festive Fundraising Fun

Can you believe it?  It’s that time of the year when, once again, people start talking about …CHRISTMAS!!

For many Christmas is usually a time for togetherness, when we press pause on normal life and meet up with those we don’t get to see or be with as often as we would like.   Many of us didn’t get that chance last year, reminding us all that the true spirit of Christmas is less about the presents we receive and more about what we can do for others and how we can spend time with each other.

This year it seems there is nothing to stop us – so in our book that makes it the perfect opportunity to have some ‘Festive Fundraising Fun’ with friends and family.  Why not do something different this year that will make a huge difference to your local breast care services?

Maybe you love to be the host of a big party, or maybe you enjoy getting your teeth into a new challenge.  Whatever you decide to do, do it for charity and have some festive fundraising fun.

Here is a handful of suggestions to get you thinking:

  1. Take on a swimming challenge and brave the cold water in our region

  2. Go on a bike ride dressed as a reindeer

  3. Arrange a Santa fun run

  4. Hold a fancy-dress festive party

  5. Set up a Christmas jumper day at work … and fine those who don’t take part

  6. Host a festive bake-off or cake sale

  7. Arrange a Christmas carol service at your local village hall or church

  8. Host a gift-wrapping party

  9. Host a Christmas card, baubles, and garland marking party

  10. Arrange a family children’s choir (who doesn’t love the sound of children singing at Christmas)

  11. Arrange a Christmas outdoor lights competition

  12. Host a breakfast with Santa’s elves

At The Primrose Foundation we will continue to organise events for you to take part in – so please watch out for news of our Wreath Making Workshop or our Christmas Carol Service.

Whatever you decide to do, most importantly remember to have lots of fun while raising funds for The Primrose Foundation.  You know how important every bit of fundraising is to those going through treatment for breast cancer.  What a fantastic Christmas gift you will be giving them.

Many thanks for your continued support.

Merry Christmas and a happy New Year

Much love

The Primrose Foundation
