Local Fundraiser Raises Funds in Memory of Jaimie Sullivan

Dan Sullivan

Hi, my name is Dan, and this is my fundraising story.

In 2018 my cousin Jaimie was diagnosed with breast cancer, aged 35. She underwent intense treatment and thought she had beaten this dreadful disease but unfortunately, in 2023 Jaimie received the devastating news that her cancer had returned, she very sadly passed away in January 2024.

I am lacing up my running shoes and hitting the pavement to take on the Plymouth Half Marathon. But this race means so much more than just a personal challenge for me. I'm running in loving memory of my dear cousin Jaimie and would like to raise as much money as possible for The Primrose Foundation.

Jaimie received fantastic care and treatment from the team at the Primrose Breast Care Centre therefore the foundation is a charity close to mine and my family's hearts. They helped Jaimie when she needed it the most and now it is my turn to help them and raise as much money as possible.

Every step I take during this marathon will be a tribute to Jaimie's strength and resilience and every donation, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference in supporting others who are facing similar battles. Please help me raise as much money as possible for The Primrose Foundation by clicking on the link below and giving what you can.

Jaimie Sullivan

Your generosity and support will mean the world to me and my family, and the countless individuals and families touched by the incredible work of everyone at the Primrose Breast Care Centre. Together, let's make a difference and keep Jaimie's memory alive through this meaningful cause.

Jaimie was only 35 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer and 40 when she tragically passed away from this terrible disease. In addition to raising money, I would like to also highlight the importance of being breast-aware, no matter your age.

It doesn’t matter who you are, where you live or how old you are, cancer can affect any of us and in memory of Jamie can I please encourage all women to LOVE themselves enough to be breast aware and make checking their breasts a monthly routine.

More information about being breast-aware can be found here https://www.primrosefoundation.org/bits-and-blogs/2023/10/25/love-yourself-enough-to-be-breast-aware

If you can’t give, please could you consider sharing my story so that together we can help keep Jaimie's memory alive.

Thank you for reading.
